I went to Quinnipiac College for my undergraduate work and received a BS in psychology with a minor in sociology and a concentration in daycare/child development.  I received my master's degree and 6th year certificate from Southern Connecticut State University for elementary education.

I began my journey of teaching children at Quinnipiac Children's Center working with children ages 1-4.  After getting married in 1996, I was hired by the North Haven Board of Education to be a 5th grade teacher at Clintonville School.  I spent the next 14 years teaching 2nd grade. I was then asked to teach 4th grade and I am in my seventh year as a Kindergarten teacher!

All About Mrs. Pedersen

This will be my 23rd year teaching at Clintonville Elementary School.  I am very excited to be entering my 7th year as a Kindergarten teacher!  It has been my secret dream to be able to teach this age group and the past 6 years have been incredible!   The best thing about Kindergarteners is their love of school.  I look forward to taking this excitement and soaring with it as we learn to read, write, solve math problems, work on science activities, and how to be good friends!

I have two children, Kyle (17) who is in 12th grade and Katy (14) who is a 9th grader.  Kyle loves to play baseball and Katy loves softball so I get to go to a lot of ball games all year long!  My husband works for Frontier and he gets to climb telephone poles for a living!  We have a dog named Sammy, a cat named Isabella, and a whole bunch of fish.  In my free time I enjoy working in my yard, reading on my front porch, going for walks, hanging out with my family, and spending time with my friends.  I can't wait to hear all about you!
